TE Smith Carted Off The Field

Tight end L.J. Smith was carted off the practice field yesterday after aggravating a sports hernia injury.  Smith underwent surgery to repair the injury in the offseason.  The four-year pro recorded 50 catches for 611 yards and five touchdowns last year, his second as a full time starter.  It was the second big blow of the day for the Eagles, as Pro Bowl guard Shawn Andrews missed practice and is out indefinitely with a right ankle injury.
