Eagles sign RB/KR Reno Mahe

Reno MaheThe Philadelphia Eagles, in an attempt to revive their kick return game, have signed running back/kick returner Reno Mahe to a one-year contract Tuesday.  The signing was necessitated by the uncertainty of their previous kick return team of wide receiver Greg Lewis and safety J.R. Reed, who incidentally was released to make room for Mahe.

Mahe had been out of the league since the Eagles decided not to resign him following last season; he was the team’s main kickoff and punt returner at that time.  Mahe isn’t considered the fastest guy on the team, but he makes smart decisions once the ball is in his hands.  It has not been determined as of yet whether he will be ready for the Washington-Philadelphia game on Monday night.
