Struggling Eagles Play Host to Jets Sunday

Reid looks for a home win vs NY

Two one-win teams will square off when the Eagles head to the Meadowlands to battle the Jets.  The Jets blew a 10-point third quarter lead in their 35-24 loss to the Giants in Week Five.  Chad Pennington tossed for 229 yards with a TD but was intercepted three times, as the Jets fell for the second straight game.  New York’s defense yielded 28 second half points in the loss.  The Eagles are 1-and-3 and in last place in the NFC East as they come out of their bye week.  Brian Westbrook is tied for the team lead with 19 receptions but sat out Week Four’s loss to the Giants with an abdominal injury.  The Eagles are a perfect 9-and-0 following the bye under head coach Andy Reid.  Philadelphia has also never lost to the Jets, winning all eight matchups.
