Reid: Healthy Players Key To Eagles Win
Posted by Matt Loede on October 16th, 2007 filed in NewsSpeaking at his usual Monday morning press conference, Eagles head coach Andy Reid stressed that the key to Sunday’s win over the Jets was the overall health of his players. Reid said that having some key players, like Brian Westbrook, return after missing time with injuries was vital to the win. Westbrook rushed for 120 yards to lead Philadelphia’s offense. Reid also commented on two defensive players who did not play - safety Brian Dawkins and cornerback Lito Sheppard. Dawkins, who is still battling the effects of a stinger he suffered in Week Two, is day-to-day. Reid hopes to have Sheppard back for this Sunday’s home game against Chicago.
