One of the important players on the Philadelphia Eagles’ secondary will be lost for the balance of the regular season. The team placed strong safety Sean Considine on injured reserve; as a result, the Eagles promoted safety Marcus Paschal from the practice squad to replace Considine.
Considine injured his left shoulder during the Eagles’ loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. Quintin Mikell will most likely replace Considine in the starting lineup when the Eagles play the Washington Redskins on Sunday. Eagles head coach andy Reid said that it hasn’t been determined if Considine will need surgery for his injury. Considine, a fourth-round pick in 2005, had registered 47 tackles and 1 interception this season prior to his injury.
