Cornerback Lito Sheppard was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his shutdown defense in the team’s win at Dallas. The two-time Pro Bowler led the team with six tackles and had an interception. He also limited Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens to just two catches for 37 yards. Owens first catch didn’t occur until the fourth quarter.
