Spikes To Undergo Surgery on Rotator Cuff
Posted by Matt Loede on December 21st, 2007 in News
Eagles linebacker Takeo Spikes will undergo season-ending surgery today on his torn rotator cuff. Spikes was put on injured reserve and wide receiver Michael Gasperson was called up from the practice squad to take his place. Since tight ends Matt Schobel and L.J. Smith are both injured, the 6-4, 220-pound Gasperson has been practicing this week at tight end. Rookie Brent Celek will start Sunday afternoon at New Orleans.
