Spikes Injures Rotator Cuff
Linebacker Takeo Spikes suffered a torn rotator cuff in Sunday’s win over Dallas. It is unclear at this point if he will play Sunday at New Orleans. If he can’t go, coach Andy Reid said they might move starting middle linebacker Omar Gaither to Spikes’ weakside spot and play rookie Stewart Bradley in the middle.
Eagles Eliminated From Playoffs
The Eagles have been officially eliminated from playoff contention. Philly was knocked out after the Vikings beat the Bears on Monday Night Football. At a disappointing 6-and-8, the Eagles held the slimmest chance of even making the playoffs. Chicago, Detroit, and Arizona were also eliminated.
