Heckert Staying Put; Not Headed To Atlanta

Eagles general manager Tom Heckert will not be heading to Atlanta. Heckert interviewed for the Falcons’ GM position last Monday, but owner Arthur Blank decided to hire Tom Dimitroff, who was the director of scouting for the New England Patriots. At one point last week, the 40-year-old Heckert had been considered the front-runner for the job. Heckert has been with the Eagles since 2001 and has served as GM since 2006.
