Eagles Tab McDermott To Run Secondary

The Philadelphia Eagles took very little time to replace former secondary coach John Harbaugh as they hired Sean McDermott to replace Harbaugh in that capacity. McDermott coached the linebackers last season; he previously served as secondary coach from 2004-06. As a result of the hiring of McDermott, the Eagles shifted some other personnel around; they moved Bill Shuey from defensive quality control coach to linebackers coach; Mike Caldwell will replace Shuey. Otis Smith will become the assistant secondary coach.
