The transition to being the eventual starter for Kevin Kolb has taken another step, as coach Andy Reid has confirmed that Kolb has moved to the backup spot, moving ahead of A.J. Feeley.  “I’ve seen improvement [in Kolb and right now he has a seasoned veteran ahead of him and behind him,” Reid said. “He has a lot of knowledge there to draw from and learn from. He’s competing right now. That number two spot allows him to get a few more reps than what A.J. might get in the third spot.”  Feeley was the number two QB last season, playing in three games, throwing for 681 yards, 5 TD’s and 8 picks with a QB rating of 61.2.  Kolb didn’t throw a pass last year, but it’s been thought from the moment he was drafted he would be the QB of the future.
