Donovan & Dawkins – Back to Work!

It has been confirmed by several league sources that Donovan Mcnabb has added Brian Dawkins this year to his annual Arizona workouts. That’s right – Weapon X is currently in Arizona, taking part in a tradition that Mcnabb has maintained through his 10 year career in Philadelphia. This workout is of course voluntary and something Dawkins could not take part in last offseason, because of the premature birth of his twin daughters, who now are completely healthy.

It can only benefit the receivers in attendance to have arguably the best safety in the league running drills to prepare you for a pivotal season for the Eagles. The receivers for this team have been underrated & under appreciated I believe, but will need to show it on the field for the Philadelphia fans to begin to believe “we can win with the guys we have”. And Donovan will need them to come through for him to have the season to restore him to his Pro Bowl form & the elite level of quarterbacks in the league.

Will it be the end of an era, or another successful season, that all starts with this offseason.
This is something that shows all the players in attendance commitment to winning and leading this team in a positive direction for the 2008 season.

It’s a great sign to have Dawkins working out with DMac. Here’s hoping they BOTH have a great year!
