Eagles Prepare For First Preseason Game

The Eagles will hold a closed practice today as they prepare for their first preseason game. The Birds will visit Pittsburgh at 7:30 Friday night. Yesterday, disgruntled cornerback Lito Sheppard responded to team owner Jeffrey Lurie’s comments on Monday. Lurie, citing a rarely-used stat, said he hopes Sheppard has a better season this year than last. Sheppard, who is seeking a new contract, said he was disappointed by the comments believing that Lurie was attempting to find something bad to say about him.
