Andrews Return To Camp Probable

Philadelphia Eagles guard Shawn Andrews, who has missed training camp due to suffering from depression, according to Bob Brookover and Tim Panaccio of Philly.com, is expected to make his first appearance at camp Sunday; however, head coach Andy Reid isn’t going to automatically insert Andrews into the Eagles’ starting lineup.  As previously mentioned, Andrews missed all of training camp to deal with a bout of depression; he visited a doctor in Little Rock, AR on Thursday and had an appointment with the same doctor yesterday.  Team president Joe Banner said that Andrews will meet with team officials regarding his off-field treatment, adding, “There’s a game plan when he gets here in terms of what is going to happen purely from a medical perspective.  Beyond that, I’m sure Andy has a creative plan in terms of the football part of it.”

Hopefully Shawn can get his troubles behind him and contribute to the team. Sad to hear of this.
