Positive Signs All the Way Around for Eagles

Philadelphia EaglesThe Eagles continue to show improvement, despite a ligtening delay against the Panthers.  The first team offense showed it could move the ball behind Donavan.  The upgrade brought to the house by DeShawn Jackson is in itself resounding. Curtis, JT Smith, Lewis and Avant can be enough if they all play to their potential.  Again the key word is potential.  Brian Westbrook sat out most of the game wisely.  Kevin Kolb  played much better including a 33-yard TD pass.

Both the offensive and defensive lines played well.

On the offensive line Todd Herrremans (left tackle) and Scott Young (left guard) helped move people and created a secure pocket for Donavan McNabb. On the defensive line defensive end Jerome McDougle had a sack and a forced fumble.

Eagles Notes…..Backup placekicker Richmond McGee booted a 40 yd field goal in the 4th quarter..,.punter Sav Rocco is awful…guard Max Jean-Gilles is struggling with penalties…….Tony Hunt had a 51 yard touchdown run up the left sideline….linebacker Justin Roland continues to excel at linebacker with a rally killing 74 yard iinterception return (the linebacking corps is looking strong)
