Eagles Try Hunt At Fullback
Posted by Matt Loede on August 19th, 2008 filed in NewsThe Eagles are trying out running back Tony Hunt at the fullback position. The Penn State product is part of a crowded backfield behind running backs Brian Westbrook, Correll Buckhalter and Lorenzo Booker. Coach Andy Reid said he wants to give Hunt an opportunity to get on the field. Moving the second-year pro to fullback seems to indicate the Eagles are disappointed in their current trio of players at that position. Reid has said the player who earns the lone fullback spot on the roster must also be able to contribute on special teams. Against Carolina last Friday, Hunt not only scored on a 51-yard run he also made two tackles on special teams.
