While the Eagles are a bit banged up after Sunday’s 15-6 win over the Steelers, they did get some good news Monday as running back Brian Westbrook’s X-rays on his ankle came back negative. He has a strained ankle according to coach Andy Reid. The injury took place early in the game vs Pittsburgh. He will have an MRI on the ankle today to confirm no major damage, and will likely miss practice this week and have treatment to try and see if he can go Sunday night in Chicago. He did not speak to reporters post game Sunday about the injury, but was on crutches in the locker room.

the good news is that the x-rays are negative. the bad news is if they find something today.
optimistically, if they find something, we do not need westbrook for the next 3 games, and he can really rest up during the bye week.
