Eagles: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

Harv is MIA so I’ve got both the O and D this week. I suspect he has elected to hide under his bed until Westbrook starts playing again. The D pulled off a wallstreet bailout with a solid plan and then the offense summarily voted it down with some unenthusiastic efforts.

THE O

GOOD — Well… I guess I’m pretty happy the Cowboys lost. The phils clinching on the same day My sister got married wasn’t so bad either. Donavan’s TD pass to Jackson was probably his best throw ever. Jackson really does distract the hell out of the D. Buck’s best runs were when they faked the reverse to Jackson.

BAD— L.J might not be able to catch… but his blocking was certainly missed. Klecko at TE? Just kidding… sort of. Schoebel’s missed block on fourth down certainly cost them. But thing is… it shouldn’t have gotten to that point anyways. A team that passes that much… then runs all four times without their stud back? Baaaaad playcalling. I don’t have much faith right now in their fourth quarter drives. Donavan seemed peeved at Jackson for that route– if that effects his trust in him, well… then we could be looking at some mediocre Reggie in the near future.

UGLY — Akers makes one of those two kicks and the eagles win. He needs t o go to Hallmark and pick up some apologies for the D. Maybe stop at pearl vision and/or GNC to get his game back on track.

THE D

GOOD
–In my mind, another stellar game by the D. Omar Gaither was absolutely everywhere. What a bright future this linebacking core has. Still first against the run. Very curious to see how they do against portis. On top of that…. turnover after turnover. I ain’t too worried about these guys. That second TDw as from the turnover… not much they coulda’ done there.

BAD— They certainly got caught with their pants around their ankles that first drive. The bears in a high-octane no huddle? I can’t be too upset they didn’t see that coming. Tip O’ the hat to the bears on that one. Lito who? He’s not much of a factor these days… while It does seem like a waste… can we really complain?

UGLY— Asante tripped over that blade of grass for that bears TD. Gross.
