The Eagles today announced they have acquired the services of veteran fullback Leonard Weaver.Per a team-issued release, Weaver signed a one-year deal.
Weaver was talking to several teams. He comes to the Eagles from the Seahawks. According to Sean Jensen of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the contract has a maximum value of $2.5 million.
“He was extremely interested in the Vikings, and we thought it was a great fit,” agent Harold Lewis told the Pioneer Press. “But we felt the Eagles were the best fit.”
