Defensive tackle Hollis Thomas is still looking for a team, and the big 335 pound tackle might be close to a return to Philadelphia, as he took a physical with the Eagles last month. The team spokesman, Derek Boyko, told the Philadelphia Inquirer that Thomas came in last month and took a physical.
The paper reports that the big man is still on the Eagles radar, and that means that it just might be a situation where the team is going to wait till training camp to sign him. Thomas played for the Eagles from the 96-97 season till the 06-07 season.
He spent the last three seasons in New Orleans. Last season he played 8 games, and was mostly a non-factor, having just seven total tackles. The Eagles have five defensive tackles under contract – Mike Patterson, Brodrick Bunkley, Trevor Laws, Dan Klecko, and rookie Jervonte Jackson.
