PFW: Jim Johnson’s Absence Will Hurt the Eagles in 2009

While many people seem to think the Eagles are headed to the Super Bowl in February of 2010, the team still has a question mark about the loss of defensive coordinator Jim Johnson. Pro Football Weekly in their recent Audibles section had the following quote from either an NFL scout, coachor front-office personnel about loss of Johnson and what it might mean to the team:

“If (defensive coordinator Jim) Johnson is out, how is the Eagles’ philosophy going to change? How much will the play-calling change? Jimmy has a great feel for the game. His absence could really hurt.”

This will for sure be something to watch early in training camp and preseason for the Birds.
