The Philadelphia Daily News reports that starting LB Akeem Jordan is out for tomorrows game vs the Skins:
Eagles head coach Andy Reid announced that starting weakside linebacker Akeem Jordan definitely will miss his third successive game with a knee hyperextension. The Eagles are expected to reprise last week’s combination of Joe Mays and Jeremiah Trotter in the middle, with Will Witherspoon filling in for Jordan. Reid said Trotter sat out yesterday’s indoor practice because of knee swelling, but both said Trotter will play tomorrow. “Once you get [to age] 32, five knee surgeries, there’s only so much you’re going to get during the week anyway,” Trotter said. “The bottom line is showing up on Sunday. Andy, he’s a coach who understands keeping the veteran guys healthy.”
