Eagles Represented Well in Pro Bowl, Send Six

The Eagles will send the second most players to the Pro Bowl this year (Minnesota has 8, Dallas and Indianapolis also have 6 each). Out of those players, four are starters and David Akers will handle the kicking duties. The starters include DeSean Jackson at wide receiver (and will also handle returns), Leonard Weaver at fullback, Jason Peters at offensive tackle, and Asante Samuel at cornerback. Trent Cole rounds out the representatives at his defensive tackle position.

The Pro Bowl will take place January 31, 2010. It will be the week before the Super Bowl and won’t be held in Hawaii, two changes compared to the typical situation.
