Don’t get me wrong here, the Eagles still are playing with the fact that if they don’t win their season is over. However, I think the team won’t be as tense as they were last week. Everything fell into place for the Eagles and there were such big circumstances between a win and a loss. They were the hot team in the NFC and the one everyone was saying look out for. Now the tables have turned. Many say Dallas is the unstoppable force now, Goliath, and the Eagles are David.
I think this time around the Eagles come out much more loose and laid back than last Sunday. The errors that were made last week were all fundamental errors that really shouldn’t be made. I have to blame a lot of this on the pressure the players placed upon themselves before that game. Balls were dropped, poor passes were thrown, and tackles were missed. These aren’t things that dwell on a team forever, the Eagles can shake all these things off.
They’ve already made a trip to the NFL’s “big house” and been watched by over 100,000 people. I think that can be a bit daunting, especially for a lot of the younger guys who made errors last week that we didn’t see a whole lot during the rest of the season. They make a return trip now and know what to expect. The nerves should be gone, and they should be ready to come out and play Eagles football.
