DeSean Jackson Named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month

Eagles wide receiver and punt returner DeSean Jackson has brought home another award on the season. He was named the NFC Special Teams player of the month in December. This is Jackson’s second time receiving the award this season, taking home the honor in September. Along with two monthly awards, he has received three weekly awards as well as his Pro Bowl nomination. Jackson was the first player to ever be voted to a Pro Bowl team for two positions (wide receiver and kick returner).

This award pretty much sums up the regular season Jackson has had. He avoided the dreaded “sophomore slump” and came out and played huge for the Eagles this year. I’m sure the individual awards mean a lot to Jackson but the number one thing on his mind right now is making a Super Bowl run.
