Former Eagle Troy Vincent Lands New Position

In a somewhat odd series of events, former Eagle Troy Vincent has been named Vice President of player development for active players and will take office next week. This seems a bit odd because Vincent was recently in the running to be the executive director of the players union. He has essentially flip-flopped sides going from the side of the players to the NFL. He will definitely see some scrutiny about this.

However, Vincent was always one of those players that was more than just a football player. He was very active in the community and it came to no surprise for anyone when he aggressively the position for the players union.

Of the new position Vincent said,

I appreciate this opportunity to continue to be involved in the NFL working with active players and tomorrow’s NFL athletes. My goal is to assist the NFL in continuing to grow and remain the most respected, admired and successful sports league in the world. My family and I owe so much to playing in the NFL, and I know my story is not unique. This is one way of giving back.

We wish Vincent the best of luck in his new position.
