Eagles take a safety in second round

After passing up on Earl Thomas in the first round, the Eagles drafted their first defensive back with the 37th overall pick in the draft. They selected Nate Allen out of the University of South Florida. He was the best safety on the board (sorry to all those Taylor Mays fans) and there weren’t very many good corners left so it was a no brainer.

There were a lot of rumors of the Eagles taking Dexter McCluster but he was picked up by the Chiefs right before they selected. I didn’t think that was a good pick for them so I’m glad it wasn’t even an option.

What are your thoughts on the Eagles selection of Nate Allen?
