Paper Says Vick Calls Police About Shooting

The Hampton Roads Virginian-Pilot is reporting that Eagles QB Mike Vick made a call this morning to police about the shooting that took place last week and what he knows about the case.

Michael Vick voluntarily called Virginia Beach police this morning and went in to answer questions about Friday morning’s shooting at a Town Center restaurant, his attorney said today. Vick and his attorney, Lawrence H. Woodward Jr., spoke with a detective about what happened at Vick’s birthday bash before the shooting. Woodward said Vick left the party about 30 minutes before shots were fired. Vick’s childhood friend and onetime dogfighting co-conspirator Quanis Phillips was thrown out of the party before the shooting and ended up in the hospital with a bullet wound, Woodward said. Authorities have yet to say directly that Phillips was the victim of the shooting. “Michael voluntarily cooperated with the investigation, went in on his own and answered all the police detective’s questions,” Woodward said today.

You know what is worse than this situation with Vick, is how you the media are doing your best to make it appear that Vick has done something wrong to violate his parole or probation and even with the NFL. If Vick was at his own birthday party, minding his own business, and Phillips bashes the party, gets thrown out of the party, and gets shot. By this time Vick has left the party (before the shoothing) and now somehow he is in violation of NFL Policy, probation or parole. You people are absolutely ridiculous, you are only trying to make impossible for Vick to get on with his life, hell I am really beginning to believe that most of you are jealous, because you know that he will be successful. I haven’t seen you report that much about the positive speeches he has been giving, I know it has disappointed most of you that he has managed to be reinstated, signed with a team, and picked up for the secong season. Hell I didn’t see this much reporting on Ben Roethlisberger, who has been accused not once but twice possibly three times, no you kept that on the down low, even though he was charged, he certainly should have been, and had he been a black NFL player, he would be waiting trial right now.
