Reports Say Vick Could Still Face a Suspenion from the League

USA Today says that a suspension could still be coming for Eagles QB Mike Vick, who is on thin ice with the team according to various reports:

Former NFL coach Tony Dungy says that Eagles quarterback Michael Vick could still face repercussions from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in the wake of a shooting at a party for him last month. Vick was cleared of any wrongdoing by police in Virginia Beach. “You can’t do anything that’s going to put a bad face on the NFL,” Dungy said, “…he probably didn’t live up to that.” Dungy said Vick, on probation for his 2007 dogfighting conviction, was wrong to put himself in a dangerous situation at the birthday party. Dungy said Vick is held to a higher standard than other NFL players because of his past legal problems. And he said Goodell — who told Vick last year he had little margin for error — may be skeptical of what Vick says because he lied to him in 2007 about his involvement in dogfighting. “If it were me, with what I know and I don’t know everything that the commissioner probably knows, I probably would just move on with this,” Dungy said. “But there may be more to it.”
