Brian Westbrook says he is going to announce where he will play as soon as Monday. The Broncos and Redskins appear to still be the front runners.
Former Philadelphia Eagles all-pro running back Brian Westbrook will most likely have a new team, as soon as Monday. Chris Mortensen from ESPN says Westbrook, 30, has let people know on Monday where he will play for the 2010. There are no indications Westbrook will retire and he has reportedly passed physicals for several teams who are interest in signing the former Villanova player. The Washington Redskins are the leading candidate to sign Westbrook, despite the presence of Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson and Willie Parker on their roster. The Broncos were also believed to be interested in Westbrook, but they just signed veteran running back Justin Fargas as a back up.
