LB Sims Standing Out to Coach Reid in Film

CBS Sports reports that LB Ernie Sims seems to be impressing coach Andy Reid:

Eagles LB Ernie Sims had no tackles against the Bengals in preseason action, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. “I thought he played a heck of a game,” coach Andy Reid said. “He’s a tempo-setter, and he’s always right around the ball.” Sims finished with 49 total tackles last season with the Lions, failing to reach 100 tackles for the first time in four seasons in the NFL last year and that was due to missing five games with an injury. Sims has looked healthy in camp and is apparently winning over the favor of coach Reid. Sims has even been chastised for hurting his own teammates because he’s been so physical. Sure, Reid yelled at him for that, but you know he also loves the intensity.
