Eagles ask about Bills RB Marshawn Lynch

Lynch would provide solid stability for LeSean McCoy.

Word out of Philly has the Eagles in search of a running back with LeSean banged up.  Rumors got Marshawn Lynch being sought by the team.  Buffalo’s starting RB has rushed for 164 yards on 37 carriers, good for almost 4.5 yards a pop.

Other than LeSean, the Eagles have Mike Bell, who is producing 1.7 yards on 12 attempts; little-known and little-used Eldra Buckley, who coughed up a key fumble against the Packers on his only try of the season; and undrafted rookie Joique Bell, who has never played a down in an NFL regular season game.

You have to believe the Eagles will pull the trigger if the price is within reason.  They are in desperate need of help at the RB position with McCoy hurt.  If it happens, look for a move to be done rather quickly in time for Sunday night’s contest with San Francscio.
