Wow. That has to be the first word out of your mouth with the way the Eagles dominated the Redskins tonight.
The big headline heading into the game was the fact that the Donovan McNabb signed a five-year extension for $78 million, but at the end of the day, it was all about Michael Vick and the Eagles.
Is it time for the Eagles to get in serious talks with extending Vick? You would have to think so. They took down a great last week in the Colts, then absolutely destroyed a mediocre Redskins team.
The Eagles are now tied with the Giants in the NFC East. Who do the Eagles take on next? The Giants. It’s going to be a huge match-up in prime-time next Sunday night as both teams will be battling for the outright lead in the NFC East.
You can’t speak enough about how well Vick played tonight. He put all of his throws on the money, and made a bunch of plays with this legs.
The defense played very well, but gave up more big plays then you would like to see. You can debate that they were playing a bit soft because of the big lead, but the amount of big plays the team gave up is a bit alarming.
McNabb’s bread and butter is throwing the ball down the field and the Eagles let them do it too much. However, in a win like this, it’s hard to get upset.
Overall, whenever you get a start like the Eagles did, you have to have a lot of confidence in the team. With what they did against the Colts last week, and the Redskins this week, you have to like their chances against the Giants next week.
More to come on the game later.
