While the Eagles are likely to have Asante Samuel back from injury for their next game, a name was added to the team’s official list of ailing players following Philadelphia’s win over Houston on Thursday night. Offensive tackle Winston Justice, who has quietly been a consistent starter up front, has a slight sprain to his MCL, head coach Andy Reid recently confirmed. Justice sustained the injury on LeSean McCoy’s 40-yard screen-pass reception in the fourth quarter, but an MRI test on Friday revealed no structural damage to the lineman’s knee, so many already expect the former 2nd-round Draft pick to be ready for the Eagles’ next game, a Sunday night showdown with Dallas.

Reid isn’t sure how long Justice (pictured) will be absent from practice, but he said that if the team was scheduled to prepare for a game this weekend, the starter probably wouldn’t be available. Thankfully for the Eagles, practice isn’t set to resume until next Wednesday and the Cowboys game isn’t this Sunday, but the following weekend, on December 12. If, for some reason, Justice isn’t able to recover in time for that game, third-year backup King Dunlap would be in line to step in as a starting tackle.

As for other injuries, Samuel (knee sprain) expects to be back at practice as a full participant next week after nearly playing against the Texans on Thursday. Meanwhile, veteran defensive end Juqua Parker (hip soreness) is “making progress” and “should be ready to go” within the near future.
