Michael Vick has emerged from his stint in federal prison for charges relating to dog-fighting to become the hero of the NFL. He gained a starting spot as QB of the Philadelphia Eagles this season and performed on the field like no other QB before him. After being the scum of the Earth for many Americans, it is looking like he is on his way to being the guy who can do no wrong. (There are even many advocates out there arguing that Vick should be allowed to own dogs again.)
Well, Vick has broken through the image of his troubled past again with his first post-incarceration endorsement deal. The deal is with Unequal Technologies, which makes special pads for players to wear during games. In fact, Vick wore one of these pads when he injured his ribs this season. According to the Associated Press, Vick claims that “Unequal’s protective power gives me a whole new level of confidence in my game. It makes me feel invincible.”
