Eagles Working Out Nevada QB Colin Kaepernick

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports Nevada standout quarterback Colin Kaepernick is conducting an individual workout today for the Eagles, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.

It’s an interesting link considering that Eagles backup Kevin Kolb is on the trading block and drawing heavy interest around the league.

Kaepernick could potentially fit in as a backup to Michael Vick.

Kaepernick is coming off a strong Pro Day workout where he completed 36 of 38 passes with one dropped, according to a source who attended the session.

Kaepernick stood on his combine numbers. The Jacksonville Jaguars and Carolina Panthers both sent their quarterbacks coaches to the workout, which was attended by 25 NFL teams.

Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos have Kaepernick for an official visit and a private workout.
