The Eagles have two compensation picks in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft, and with their second pick (No. 240 Overall), Philadelphia selected, Stanley Havili, fullback, from USC. This pick is very interesting for the Eagles. They already have Leonard Weaver and Owen Schmitt on the roster, and both are more than capable of the starting role. So the Eagles taking Havili does not really make much sense, even as a last pick.
It’s possible the attraction to Havili was his receiving possibilities, as he led USC with 116 career receptions, which was a school record. It seems to me that the Eagles last two picks are nothing more than practice squad players and would be lucky to even make the team.
This was the last pick for the Eagles in the 2011 NFL Draft.
