According to ESPN, Eagles QB Michael Vick led teammates in a workout Thursday for the first time since the lockout started. The Philadelphia Sports Daily reports that last week Vick talked about the importance of his organizing the workouts while the players are prevented from working out with the team. “The most important thing is to make sure that we’re ready to go,” said Vick.
“You have to get the plan together and me being the quarterback, that’s my job — to make sure that we have a chance to come in and get it done, and that it’s productive and efficient. I’m holding myself responsible to making sure that happens, as being the captain of this team and the leader.” This is a good sign that Vick is getting the team together, and we expect him to play well heading into 2011. Despite missing three games with an injury in 2010, Vick had his best season.
