Reports Suggest That West Virginia Rusher Noel Devine Walked Out on Philadelphia

Noel Devine Walks Out on Philly

When news broke that Noel Devine had signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, it appeared that the opinion was split in half. Some fans were pumped beyond all belief that the Eagles picked up another offensive weapon that had the ability to take it to the house on every touch, others thought that he was a waste of space on the roster — Considering the Eagles already had five other rushers ahead of him.

It appears that the latter has won this battle, as the Eagles announced late Saturday that Devine was cut by the team. This raised some eyebrows, considering that he was only at the training camp for two days and had not had much of a chance to practice or show what he could bring to the offense.

Recently, reports have surfaced that Devine actually walked out on the Eagles, and not the other way around. This must have caught Philadelphia off guard, as the Eagles have brought in an entire crop of free agents, and appear to be clear Super Bowl favorites next season.

There is no guarantee that Devine would have made the roster to begin with, as the Eagles have to cut an entire team of running backs. Hopefully Philadelphia will keep a solid three on the roster, and trim the fat out of the weaker backs.

This move actually did more damage to the West Virginia stud then it did to the Eagles, as he will have a hard time finding a new team after walking out on another. Either way, here in Philadelphia we wish him luck.
