Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation Teams Up With Philadelphia Eagles
To Host Camp In For Kids’ Cancer
Family fun camping experience at Lincoln Financial Field to combat childhood cancer returns on Saturday, May 19 – Sunday, May 20, 2012
(Wynnewood, PA) – Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Camp in For Kids’ Cancer in partnership with The Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, May 19 through Sunday, May 20, 2012. The one-of-a-kind family fun event provides individuals with the opportunity to spend the night at the home field of the Philadelphia Eagles, meet members of the team, enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the stadium and play catch on the field where the professionals play, all while raising funds and awareness for kids with cancer.
In order to take part in the football fun-festivities, families will need to register for the limited number of spots. Adult registration is $150 per person while child registration is $75. All groups must include at least one adult and one child and are not to exceed four people. Attendees will also raise funds for the Foundation which will allow them to vie for prizes including setting up their campsite and sleeping on the field, playing video games with an Eagles player and attending an autograph session with past and present Eagles greats.
Dinner, snacks and breakfast will be provided to all those in attendance, as well as exclusive take home memorabilia from the event.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Philadelphia Eagles as we host the Camp In for Kids’ Cancer,” says Liz Scott, Alex’s mom and Co-Executive Director of the Foundation. “It’s no secret that Eagles fans are dedicated to their team, and through the Camp In they have proven they are equally dedicated to helping kids with cancer. We are looking forward to working together to make a difference in the battle against childhood cancer through the event.”
Accompanying adults are responsible for supervising all children registered with them during the event, and each adult may register up to three children.
About Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope. To date, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity, has raised more than $50 million toward fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure, funding over 200 pediatric cancer research projects nationally.
