The Eagles team brass headed to Atlanta on Wednesday to start the first round of interviews for the team’s head coaching vacancy.
Team chairman Jeffrey Lurie, president Don Smolenski and general manager Howie Roseman boarded a flight around 2:45 p.m. and will interview Falcons special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong and defensive coordinator Mike Nolan, according to team spokesperson Derek Boyko.
They also plan to meet this weekend with Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, although Boyko said an interview time and date has yet to be scheduled despite a Daily News report that McCoy will meet with the Eagles on Sunday.
Nolan, a former head coach of the 49ers, and McCoy are both represented by agent Bob Lamonte, who also represents Roseman and former Eagles coach Andy Reid.
