Giants linebackers coach Jim Herrmann pulled his name from consideration for the Eagles defensive coordinator job, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. This according to reports out of New York on Monday morning.
Herrmann interviewed with the Eagles on Saturday. While the team has been linked to several other candidates, Herrmann’s interview is the only one that has been reported.
The 52-year-old Herrmann has been with the Giants for the last four seasons. Before that he was the linebackers coach with the New York Jets for three years. He spent the 20 previous years at Michigan, the last nine as defensive coordinator.
