- Kansas City Chiefs select Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M – The safest prospect in this class.
- Jacksonville Jaguars select Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan – Value outweighs need, even though Fisher will only be a right tackle.
- Oakland Raiders select Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah – Raiders reportedly think Lotulelei is the top defensive lineman in this class.
- Philadelphia Eagles select Dion Jordan, OLB, Oregon – The Eagles covet length and athleticism on defense, and ties to Chip Kelly don’t hurt.
- Detroit Lions select Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU – Lions loved coaching him at the Senior Bowl and need to replace Cliff Avril.
- Cleveland Browns select Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia – Current GM Michael Lombardi hates Brandon Weeden and could look for “his guy.”
- Arizona Cardinals select Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU – Cardinals like their offensive line more than outsiders. Ray Horton isn’t around to hide weak rush linebackers anymore.
- Buffalo Bills select Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse – Marrone/Nassib reunion makes a lot of sense.
- New York Jets select Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia – Jets need playmakers wherever they can get them.
- Tennessee Titans select Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama – Value is too good.
- San Diego Chargers select Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma – Johnson falls into San Diego’s lap. Chargers are desperate for a left tackle.
- Miami Dolphins select D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama – Fluker will go higher than many expect.
- New York Jets select Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama – Jets have shown a ton of interest in the two guards.
- Carolina Panthers select Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida – The media probably have Floyd rated higher than teams do.
- New Orleans Saints select Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas – Keep an eye out for a left tackle, but Vaccaro would do wonders for the secondary.
- St. Louis Rams select DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson – Rams need another receiver and reportedly like Hopkins if Austin is gone (which he should be).
- Pittsburgh Steelers select Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia – Getting the sense that mutual interest is high here.
- Dallas Cowboys select Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina – Cowboys reportedly want Williams here.
- New York Giants select Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri – Giants must retool and get younger along the defensive line.
- Chicago Bears select Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia – Urlacher’s gone and Briggs is no spring chicken, either.
- Cincinnati Bengals select D.J. Hayden, CB, Houston – Hayden is soaring up draft boards and will be tempting here.
- St. Louis Rams select Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina – Can finally shore up the offensive line along with free agent addition Jake Long.
- Minnesota Vikings select Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee – Ponder needs weapons, and Hunter may have leapfrogged Cordarelle Patterson and Keenan Allen.
- Indianapolis Colts select Cordarelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee – Andrew Luck could use another weapon as Reggie Wayne is getting older.
- Minnesota Vikings select Manti Te’o, ILB, Notre Dame – Vikings clearly want a linebacker in round 1.
- Green Bay Packers select Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame – Could go earlier, and Jermichael Finley causes too many headaches in Green Bay.
- Houston Texans select Keenan Allen, WR, California – Receiver is the top priority in Houston.
- Denver Broncos select Cornellius Carradine, DE, Florida State – Great value and a potential replacement for Elvis Dumervil.
- New England Patriots select Margus Hunt, DE, SMU – High-upside project could thrive in New England.
- Atlanta Falcons select Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington – Falcons need a corner and Trufant could go even higher.
- San Francisco 49ers select Jonathan Cyprien, S, Florida International – Physical, vocal player who could help replace Dashon Goldson.
- Baltimore Ravens select Eric Reid, S, LSU – Yet another new face on the Baltimore defense.
