Bryce Brown’s Dogs Seized In Dog Fighting Investigation

A judge ordered Bryce Brown’s pit bull and her seven puppies returned to him following their seizure in a dog fighting investigation. Authorities took 27 dogs from a rural Wisconsin property in May, including 8 that belonged to Brown. The other 19 remain in custody of the Eau Claire Humane Society.

Brown sent his pit bull to the property in February for stud services, where the dog stayed for a week before she was returned to Brown. The running back sent his dog back to Wisconsin after she had puppies, where her puppies would be whelped and weaned. They were seized along with the other dogs on the property when the police raided the grounds.

It appears as though Brown’s dog was purely a pet receiving care at the wrong place. Brown does not seem to be involved in any dog fighting operations, although he probably exercised poor judgment as a dog owner. It’s unlikely that Brown runs into any legal trouble stemming from this incident.
