Cowbows’ Are Coming To Town!

After a, “make-over” in Philadelphia, Howie Roseman, Eagles’ general manager, figured it was time to inovate Philadelphia’s team.  Signing former Oregan coach, Chip Kelly, is seeming to be a great move by Howie, and Chip is going to get his first tase at a vicious Eagles’-Cowboys’ rivalry.

Under a new Chip Kelly operated offense, the Eagles have mixed a combination of both passing and running in a hurry-up offense. This hurry-up offense causes defenses to get fatigued and it doesn’t give them much of a chance to change defense players. The Eagles playbook is also filled with trick plays including receivers, half backs, and linemen! Although Chip has brought his new style of coaching into the NFL, can the 3-3 Eagles’ surpass the 3-3 Cowboys’ for sole possesion of first place in  NFC Eastern Confrence.

With Le’Sean McCoy flourishing in Chip Kelly’s offense (leading the NFC in rushing), the last Eagles’ player to do this was Steve Van Buren in 1949. On top of that, week 6 Player of the Week, Nick Foles, on 32 attempts, threw for 296 yards, completed 71 % of his passes, tossed three touchdowns, and managed to throw no interceptions.  As for the Dallas Cowgirls, whoops, I mean Cowboys, week 6 was a week to both forget, and remember! After clustering togther a total of 29 yards, DeMarco Murray, Cowboys’ running-back, suffered from a sprained left knee injury, and was abruptly taken off the field. Sidelined for a practice hosted by the Cobows’ on Friday, Murray is not cleared to play for perhaps another week, and questionable for Sunday’s game is DeMarcus Ware. Following the loss of Ware, Dallas now has a, “depleted defense” and struggles to avoid their most crucial stat; Dallas give up the fourth most points per game to running backs in the NFL. On the other hand, Tony Romo, with an empty backfield, consisting of four wide-recievers and one tight-end, completes 80 % of his passes. With three wide-recievers and two tight-ends, Dallas has a completion percentage of 72.2 %. One issue the Eagles’ run into is, Philadelphia’s secondary plays a nickel defense, which makes them more vounrable to pen field passes, where most of Romo’s passes are located. However, Tony Romo always finds a way to turn the ball over in an important position, as he has thrown to the other team, more then he has his own! It it extremly important that the Eagles’ primary, led by Cary Williams, can key in on Dallas’s wide-ots and tight-ends. The last question Philadelphia is left with, is if Nick Foles and the Eagles’ march to yet another victory, that’s three in a row for Nick Foles, but mike Vick will recover healty for wwek 8, who do you start? With Nick Foles leading the Eagles’ to three victories and a healthy Michael Vick ready to play, Chip  Kelly is left with the tough decision of Foles or Vick.
