According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, after undergoing further testing on Monday, there is a possibility that linebacker Kiko Alonso could be placed on injured reserve.
Alonso left the Eagles’ Week 2 game in the first half, and it was later reported that he was forced from action due to an injury to his left knee. This knee is the same one that Alonso tore prior to the 2014 regular season.
Alonso had been lining up as one of Philadelphia’s starting inside linebackers, although he did cede some snaps to veteran linebacker DeMeco Ryans. In Week 1, Alonso played 49-of-77 defensive snaps compared to just 28-of-77 for Ryans. He also made this spectacular interception to rob Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White of a touchdown.
