Eagles linebacker Kiko Alonso went full in practice, Tuesday, and said he’s ready to return Sunday when the Eagles play the Cowboys in Dallas, Mark Eckel of NJ Advance Media reports.
Alonso has been out with a knee injury suffered the second week of the season when the Cowboys beat the Eagles, 20-10, at Lincoln Financial Field.
“It felt good, I feel good,” Alonso said after Tuesday’s short practice. “I’ll do more the rest of the week.”
Asked if he thinks he can return to the field, Sunday, Alonso didn’t waver.
“For sure,” he said. “That’s the goal. That’s the ultimate goal.”
Since the injury to his knee, which required arthroscopic surgery, the target date was always the Cowboys’ game, the week after the bye. Alonso appears to be on schedule.
“That was the plan,” he said. “It’s no fun to miss that much time. I’m anxious to get back out there. Hopefully I won’t miss a beat.”
