Eagles Pickup Draft Pick From Denver for Offensive Lineman Allen Barbre

USA Today Sports

The Eagles today made a move with the Denver Broncos, grabbing a conditional late-round for offensive lineman Allen Barbre according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

The Eagles had announced earlier in the day they were cutting the 33-year-old veteran but in the end were able to get something back for him.

Barbre has spent nine years in the league, with the last four seasons playing in Philly. He signed a new multi-year deal with the Eagles in 2014 but fell out of favor under new head coach Doug Pedersen. He primarily played left guard for the Eagles but can play both guards spots and right tackle and has made 36 career starts.

Denver may be the perfect place for him to finish his career given their offensive line issues. He will likely compete with Max Garcia for the right guard position.
