I also agree that the Eagles struggled to score, both by big play and while in the red zone. But I disagree the Eagles need to sign a "big name" receiver. He lead us to 3 straight NFC championships with number ones like James Thrash and Todd Pinkston. In 2004, when they reached the Super Bowl, Owens was out for 6 regular season games and the entire playoffs with the exception of the Super Bowl. The eagles corps of recievers this year, despite lacking big names, is much better than any corps donovan has ever had for a full season. I think that if McNabb remains healthy, the eagles could win the big game if they added another good offensive tackle and some pieces on defense. And honestly, after signing Samuel yesterday, there is no way that Johnson, Fitzgerald, or Randy Moss would fit in with the remaining $11M salary cap dollars left.
