Curtis Practices

The word coming out of Philadelphia is that WR Kevin Curtis, who has been out recovering from sports hernia surgery, is almost ready to play. Curtis practiced with the scout team on Wednesday, and is scheduled to practice again on Thursday.

Curtis is not listed as “out” for the Bears game, although it seems unlikely that he will be able to play Sunday. There is hope, as he could be back on the field as early as next Sunday for a divisional match up with the Washington Redskins.

Curtis caught over 70 passes last year, for over 1,000 yards, and eight touchdowns (6 receiving and two fumble recoveries in the end-zone). He adds speed and elusiveness to the offense, and he and Jackson should tear it up together.

Andy Reid has not commented on when Curtis would actually be ready to play, but again, all indications show that it will be before the bye week, when he was originally thought to be back on the field.
